Shelley Adler’s Campaign Releases New Television Advertisement that Links Together Congressman Runyan the Politician and the Former Pro Football Player

(MARLTON) – Shelley Adler’s campaign for Congress (NJ-03) released a new television advertisement today, which creatively links together the actions of Congressman Runyan the politician with the former professional football player.  The advertisement “Wrap Up Show” focuses on Congressman Jon Runyan’s votes in Washington that would dismantle Medicare.  Congressman Runyan’s votes would have a devastating impact on Americans planning for their retirement.  Dismantling Medicare and replacing it with a voucher program has been the cornerstone of Congressman Runyan’s agenda by forcing future beneficiaries to pay an additional $6,400 annually that shifts the burden on middle-class Americans to pay for tax breaks for millionaires, Big Oil and companies that ship jobs overseas.

“Americans planning for their retirement would be simply devastated under Congressman Runyan’s plan to dismantle the Medicare guarantee, which would force couples to save an additional $100,000 just to pay the costs for the first eight years of the voucher program formerly known as Medicare.  This reckless agenda allows him to finance tax breaks for millionaires, Big Oil and companies that are encouraged to ship American jobs overseas.  Congressman Runyan has the wrong priorities and he is not on the side of middle-class families,” said Shelley Adler.
